Specht Böhm Co-Sponsors Lecture of Prof Sukhanov on Russian Civil Code

On Tuesday, 19 March 2013, Specht Böhm partner, Leopold Specht, will introduce and moderate a Interdisciplinary Association for Comparative and Private International Law (IGKK “Interdisziplinäre Gesellschaft für Komparatistik und Kollisionsrecht“) lecture on the Russian Civil Code co-sponsored by Specht Böhm and the University of Vienna. In “Problems in the Modernization of current Russian Civil Code“ Professor Evgeny Sukhanov of the Lomonossov University Moscow will discuss the necessity to modernize and “renew” the current Russian Civil Code of 1995 – 1996; whether Russia needs an additional independent commercial code in addition to the Civil Code and issues beyond the borders of foreign legal influences in the modern development of Russian civil legislation.
